473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.10 CDN.
Appearance - Slightly hazy, rich golden color with just under a finger of light and frothy white head. Good staying power and some spidery lacing at the edges of the glass.
Smell - Banana, guava? and maybe some bubblegum. 100% wheat beer. Very sweet smelling. Some wheaty notes and a bit of sharp citrus and booze. Hint of overripe fruit at the end.
Taste - Banana, with guava bits again. Chalky and thick flavor with some sharp hoppiness in there. Possible green peppers in there.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, luxuriously smooth with a bit of a sharp hoppy and peppery but at the end.
Overall - Individual the components are pretty respectable, but for whatever reason the combination doesn't do it for me. Hopfenweisse is probably the best description, but lacks the seamless transition that certain other brews have and certainly can't hold a candle to a world class hopfenweisse like Tap 5. I can certainly see some enjoying this though.
