Very fancy "traditional English pub" on a quiet street just off the heart of Moscow and three blocks from the Moscow circus. The pub is downstairs, with high tables and stools for about 40 people. Upstairs is a pretty fancy dining area for another 50 customers. Wood floors and wood furniture complement the white walls and modest paintings and sketches hanging on the wall. The upstairs has a fireplace and a small room for VIPs or regulars. While the downstairs was more Russian than English, the upstairs dining area reminded me of some of the fancier restaurants (not pubs) in Oxford. My family and I were there at 12:30 on a Sunday - we had the place to ourselves.

There were ten beers listed as being on tap, but the waiter quickly pointed out that only five were available: Edelweiss Weizen, Bombardier, Caffrey's Red, Caffrey's Stout and Guiness. The not available other five taps were more interesting, but the bartender told me that several had been out for a long time, and weren't expected any time soon. Oh well. I had two pints, both of which came in appropriate glassware at the appropriate temperature. No disappointments there. The food was also quite good, if a bit pricey. Sure, I'd go back.
