On tap at Volo, into a pint glass.

Pours a real dark brown, bordering on shades of black with some dark ruby reds to be found around the edges. Not completely opaque. Finger of eggshell head, light retention with no lace. Nose is milk chocolate, pine with some lesser citrus, tangerine and the like. Some coffee might be in the back there too. Taste is chocolate and citrus up-front, finishes relatively bitter. On the subtler side of black IPAs I've tried, but this is smooth and well balanced overall. An easy drinker and one of the best I've had from Amsterdam thusfar. Hope they can keep this around in some capacity.

Had this on tap at C'est What. I figured I missed out on this one, but apparently it came back or they still had kegs left. Pours an opaque brown colour with thin tan head. Some rings of lacing on the glass. Smells of mild roasted malt and chocolate with some citrus hops. This could almost be a hoppy porter, but it is still hop forward enough to be a Cascadian Dark Ale. Quite a smooth mouthfeel. Solid job by Amsterdam.
