On cask at Volo, served in a pint glass.
Poured dark brown, almost black with a light tan head composed of some bubbles - typical cask look. Nose has some light chocolate and coffee, smoked notes and some sweetness that's not distinctly maple but hints to it (more syrupy?). Some hop notes as well. Taste has some dark chocolate, smoke and maple syrup, but again its more syrup and sweetness than maple flavour. Mouthfeel has a syrupy texture, full but with a low carbonation, almost flat - I recognize that this is cask, but I think this would've been better served on draught. Overall, smoked and syrupy with some maple flavour - decent, but not something I'd readily revisit.
