On tap at the Amsterdam Tap Takeover at Volo. Into a wine glass. Tripel aged in Pinot Noir barrels for seven months.

Browned orange, with an offwhite head. Good retention and a bit of lace. Nose has some Pinot (more pronounced when it was cold), some dill, dark fruits, light doughy character, oak and yogurt notes and a bit of spice. Taste has more dough, grains, some wine and sweet malt. Red fleshed fruits, light spice and alcohol in the finish. Loses resemblance to a tripel from the barrel perhaps, one of my least favourites from the eve.

On tap at Bar Volo, a few days after the Amsterdam takeover. Though not the most popular at the takeover, it was interesting. More of a farmhouse fun funkiness, with a winey taste character. Above average mouthfeel. I am glad these experiments are happening.
