Copper colour, 1.5 fingers whiteish head, good amount of lace as well. Smell is a mix of hoppy citrus and sugar cookie like malt, as well as a bit of pinein there as well. Taste is quite dry and hoppy, fruity, honey dew melon, grapefruit with a lingering sweet malt, dry finish. Medium-high carbonation, fairly full bodied, carbonation is quite high and fairly filling. This was ok but not something I can drink for an entire evening though, carbonation impeeds drinkability.

Growler to tulip glass.
A - Medium to dark amber/orange colour with a thin layer of cream coloured head.
S - Floral and piney hops with a noticeable malt sweetness.
T - Moderate bitterness for the style. Big floral and piney hop flavours with a fairly prominent caramel and bready malt sweetness. Comes across as a hybrid English-American PA.
M - Light to medium body; somewhat creamy. Light carbonation.

We were allowed to have this, minus the expresso, at Bar Hop. Mildly hoppy, fair for the style. I can understand why this was chosen for the expresso version, so that the expresso taste completely dominates taste and appearance and smell.
The expresso version was mixed at the bar (in fact at my table) and therefore not a new rating.
