The color on the pour a limpid amber, the head prestigious, the lace left behind a fine latticework. Citrus crisp and fresh, lightly floral, lots of malt, sweet as well for the start. Top is skimpy in feel, stingingly acidic, spiteful in its hop bite, dry as a they come aftertaste and a good clean drinking beer.

A very ordinary brew from a way above ordinary brewery. Light copper color with little head and carbonation. American Ale seems to be all about cascades with a little caramel malt flavor. Being my least favorite brew from Hammer&Nail i've never wanted more than one or two at a time.

Another fine beer from H&N, although perhaps not as interesting as some of their other beers. Slightly dumbed-down, this is designed for greater drinkability which I think is unnecessary since other H&N brews are excellent session beers. Little head, crystal clear golden-amber body, mild caramel malt with emphasis on hop bitterness, refreshing metallic quality to the water, sweet wet rounded finish with little aftertaste. Great pick for someone not into heavy-duty beers; the primary reservation is that H&N's other beers are so good.

Light brown, scent of cashews and a bit of honey. Somewhat reminds me of Bass. Better than the average brew but nothing I'd write BeerAdv^D^D^D^D^D^Dhome about.
