A:
Pours a pale honey color that is slightly cloudy but way clearer than I was expecting. One inch head drops right down to a thin coating of creamy head with decent retention, good carbonation and minimal lacing.

S:
Smells like a wit beer, but a bit muskier. Leather, dried bananas, cloves, vanilla.

T:
Crazy! vanilla, orange rind, brown sugar. Tastes an awful lot like an orange cream popsicle.

M:
Tinge of crisp lemon and carbonation up front, nice round flavor. Gets warmer and builds, hoppy warmth and ridiculously rich, creamy orange/vanilla notes. Soft finish and lingering sweetness.

O:
Never had a "triple wit" before but this was okay. The taste is fucking bizarre. I literally made a noise and gave the glass a double-take. Really sweet but not in the same way that beers are often sweet. Tastes like burnt orange rinds dipped in whipped cream. Apparently it is now retired and I have no way to tell how old the bottle is. Maybe it's a year or so old and tasted different in its day??
I probably wouldn't try it again, not really my thing.

EDIT: I wrote this before I was too far through the bottle. After a while your mouth just tastes like a sour battery (I lowered the score after I realized).

A- Nice, fairly clear, amber colour with good effervescence. However ther is no head on this beer.

S- Fruit and yeast, but with a different character that I'm not used to. Dusty carbonation. Alcohol.

T- Yeast. Alcohol. Slightly harsh with a bitter bite at the end of the alcohol. Not balanced. A faint boiled vegetable flavour ligers back in there. Kind of off as a whole.

MF- Harsh carbonation and alcohol character. Good body though. Leaves the mouth feeling OK after the drink.

D- Harshness detracts and make it much less pleasant than other beers of similar styles. It isn't all that bad, but there are much better takes on this style out there.

Bottle: Poured an hazy yellow color ale with a super huge foamy white head with perfect retention. Aroma of wheat with some sourness, which may or may not be intended but is still enjoyable. Taste of wheat is pretty strong with some spices, which probably includes coriander with strong Belgian yeast also present. Finish is dry with a lingering feeling of sourness that doesn’t overshadow the rest of the beer. Body is above average and alcohol swell hidden. Really better then expected from this sometime suspicious brewery.

This is the latest offering from Schoune, identified on the bottle as a triple white beer.

Pours a clear golden colour with a frothy head that doesn't linger for very long.

Aroma is tart, almost sour, grainy with some citrus notes.

The first thing to hit the palate is a lemony wheat sourness. There is a bit of malt in the background but it doesn't balance the tartness. This is followed by a pronounced and unpleasant alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and carbonation is high.

After a while, all I can taste is the alcohol, although it is only 8%. I've had 14-15% brews that hid their alcohol better. I find this brew to be unbalanced and difficult to drink.
