Thin and quite astringent in the taste. Almost tastes like a sour Flemish red ale. Finger + half on the pour but head quickly dissipates with no lacing.No taste of maple that I can detect.Bottle dating in not clear so perhaps I got a less than farm fresh bottle.

Amber color beer with no head at all but with lots of carbonation... The aroma is intense on the maple syrup. I don't get anything else. Not bad, but you have to be in the mood of drinking some maple syrup :)
On the taste, it is better. Again it is maple syrup so if you don't like this, stay away. But the taste is not bad. I get some caramel too but it is very faint. Beer is thin body and the carbonation is too intense to make this enjoyable. The mouthfeel is below average. No bitterness too...

Poured a short head atop a redish brown beer. The head receded quickly, yet a touch of head remained leaving next to no lacing. An initial nice malt nose with a subtle maple aroma initially over time evolved into a strong maple smell.
The beer balances maple and the beer rather well, with a sweet maple flavour being predominant, yet still having a bit of nutty malt in it - it almost tastes like maple walnut ice cream. Certainly not cloying, just not a normal level of sweetness for this style. Some bitterness is also evident at times, although is muted in the overall body.
The carbonation is a little too strong, biting the tongue, but it does feel like that ice cream at times too, thickly covering the tongue.
Certainly not a traditional amber ale, but the inclusion of maple is nice. On the other hand if you do not like maple, you will want to avoid this. I really enjoyed this.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium brown color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention but no lacing. Aroma of strong and sweet maple syrup notes with some light woody notes. Taste is also a weird mix between some sweet maple syrup notes with some malt that is not quite balancer with the sweet aspect of the maple syrup. Interesting experiment if maybe a bit cloying though I still wonder if maple syrup and beer are a good mix.
