Warburger Urtyp was by far the best of the three offering from this Brauerei. It pours up a egg shell colored head that is fine bubbled and creamy. This tops a deep brown elixir that features hints of deep mahogany against a backlight. It is brilliantly clear leaves a lot of lace behind. The nose features deep malt aroma, grain and hints of coffee and caramel. Also to be found is a mild but crisp hop aroma. The slight roast malt aroma is balanced nicely with a slight sweetness. Diving into this Bier I found it starts slightly sweet but then finishes slightly bitter. It features very nice malt flavors of coffee and roasted malt. The body is thin to medium. This Bier finishes quickly and along with the mild bitterness it leaves behind I found a nice grassy/ herbal hop flavor. Very drinkable Bier!
