a: the beer is a hazy, dark nutshell in color with a big head showing good retention and lace
s: aromas of nutshell and earthy light roast balanced with a base of pale malts and earthy hops, subtly metallic on the nose
m: soft carbonation on the light side of medium, medium bodied
t: not packed with flavor but the nutty brown and roasted malts give a lot of character in balance with the paler grain, highly earthy hops, and a moderate bitterness, good balance between sweet and bitter...the nuttiness seems to dominate both the aroma and palate
d: 20 ounces with ease, a high quality brown
