Krug is Belo Horizonte's only brewpub and is located on the outskirts of the city near BH Shopping, which makes it a great destination to visit while others shop. It attracts a high class clientel and has English menus available upon request.

As I am dating a girl from Belo Horizonte I have spent some time at this establishment. Brazil is not known for beer and the beers brazilians tend to drink seem to all be lagers. This place caters to that taste offering 3 beers (all i saw); a "Cristal" (very similar to their "premium"),Premium a German pilsen, and a "Amber"(Vienna style lager). The beer is average in a global scope but pretty decent for Brazilian beer. The size of Krug Bier is quiet impressive, it has the feel of a warehouse with large rooms and high ceilings. The food selection is decent with a number of "American" style sandwiches. Though the location of Krug Bier is a little out of the way (near BH shopping) it is a must visit if you plan on enjoying beer in Brazil.
