Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a murky dark red almost brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a mild pace. Super light lace, seemed barely there. The aroma had some sweet grains, some herbal hop dryness, light floral, some butterscotch, escaping sweet nuts and damp wood. The flavor was grainy sweet with some dry earthiness rubbing against the "damp wood." Mild aftertaste was of the grains and damp wood. Finish was quick and malty. The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Pretty smooth rolling around my tongue. Overall, pretty good red ale, coming pretty close to style. I’d have again.
