When I first had this beer I actually liked it, prompting us to buy a growler of it. When it was all over this really wasn't a very good beer. Very dark in color but didn't taste nearly as dark and poured a small amount of head. Had almost a flat, bitter taste to it like an old flat coke with an alcohol kick. Sort of that color too. Something I probably won't get again but you never know.

The beer arrived off the tap without any head. The color is dead on for the style.

Aroma was of coffee, and roasted malt, with a hint of chocolate.

Taste was true to form for a robust porter, with roasted notes, and hints of chocolate malt. nicely balanced malt and hop combo. Well balanced beer!

This beer was light in body , and a little thin. I would prefer my porter a little chewier.

Very enjoyable and drinkable beer. I could enjoy a few of these any time.
Overall good beer, true to style.

Served as a very deep reddish-brown colored beer with tannish head.
Nice roasted malt smell with essences of chocolate and coffee.
Taste also has good chocolate and coffee flavors with nice balancing bitterness.
Good taste retention, with the roasted malt and hops leaving a nice feeling in the mouth.
A nice flavorful porter.

Stopped in recently with "Bro" Artied2 and tried a few pints of the Pothole. Poured a deep, deep dark brown into the shaker glass; completely opaque, and without any highlights. Head was quite thin and wispy, a rim job, with little lacing. Nose was a touch sweetish, with a bit of roastiness, though mild overall. Body was just up to medium class, barely, with a fairly smooth voyage over the tongue.

Flavor also has a bit of light sweetness, with a nice roasty, choco character. Hopping is lightly floral and just lingers a bit in the background. Enough to know it's there, but without dominating. Finishes a tad dry, yet quite pleasing overall.

Prosit!!

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub.

Shaker pint glass presentation. Slight 1/4" brown head over the nearly opaque dark brown brew, with good lacing. Aroma is deeply of dark malts, with a slight hoppy undercurrent. Taste follows the nose, with the dark grains being highlighted by the light yet artfully utilized hops. Smooth mouthfeel and drinkability is good as well. Nice representation of the porter style.
