Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a muddled brown color with orange highlights and a clingy, filmy, low profile head. Very malty sweet nose, with scotch, nut, and molasses characteristics. Rich, toasty flavors with nut, chocolate, caramel, and dark fruit flavors. Very layered and well blended. Smooth bodied, with a rich and nutty aftertaste. Slick, creamy finish. This is a good beer. It avoids the boozey influence common in most Wee Heavy style beers, and remains smooth and well blended throughout.

A - Pours a dark murky brown with only a few small bubbles on the surface
S - spicey hops and nutty sweet malt aromas
T - strong sweet malt flavor with hints of nuts and to me a bit of a smokey aftertaste
M/D - a bit too think mouthfeel for my taste, but aside from that very nice brew. I'd love to try it fresh on tap.

On-tap at Elm City on 2/28/07 oooh fancy new taps!
AP: A Deep dark amber color with good carbonation creating a bubbly off-white that dissipted slowly to a 1/8" cover.
Nose: Herbal and spicey hop scent upfront with a subtle malted scent underneath.
Flavor: This tastes much like a nice IPA with it's Herbal and VERY spicey flavors but with a bigger malt charechter that trys hard to balance this out.
MF: Medium body, very crisp and clean feeling.
DA: This one is all over the map, big hop, spicey and a decent malt backbone, but it takes the back seat. I enjoyed this one very much though.
