Had this beer last weekend on tap. The beer had a great rich golden color to it. By the time the beer go to my table, the head was mostly gone, but from what was there it was a nice fluffy white. This beer's smell was a bit off. It smelled citrusy with some biscuity notes.
I say off because once I took a sip, the profiles didn't match. This beer is loaded with malty goodness, especially for a lager. It wwnt perfectly with a nice knockwurst and potato pancakes.
The beer was heavy for a lager but it felt right with the malty flavors. Overall, a great beer that I will definitely have a few more of in the coming weeks. I've never had a better lager for cold weather. Great work on this one.

On-tap on 3/7/08 Happy hour!
This is a pale gold, totally clear, agressive carbonation with a white-lacy head, 1" deep dissiptes pretty quick with minimal lacing left-over.
A very herbal aroma with light, buttery malt and slightly tangy yeast. Wheat and herbal overall.
This has a much more complex flavor than any Vienna-style lager your going to find around here right now. The malt is pretty thick, doughy, buttery, not at all wet, very robust for the style. The hops and lager yeast add a very herbal, earthy mildly sour taste that gives good overall balance.
Light to medium bodied, plenty crisp and mildly smooth, could've been a bit smoother sround the edges.
a good session brew from Bill Dunn.
