This American Barleywine was brewed last year in celebration of our 25th anniversary. To celebrate 26, we took a small amount of it and aged it in a rye barrel for 6 months. With a rich malt profile contributing notes of toasted bread, toffee, and caramel, this strong ale takes on the additional character of rye and oak, paired with a slight alcohol warmth.

Had on tap. Opaque medium brown body, tan cap and lacing. Boozy barley and caramel led nose, oak and toast support, short lived. Taste is more rugged with the barley, oak, earth, toast and almost a rye flavoring, with boozy toffee, burnt caramel, and prune mix in slowly through the sip. Feel is dry but thin, booze cuts right through, chewy.
