A 500ml bottle from batch #1362, bottled on 4th February 2015, and with a best before date of 4th February 2020. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark dark brown to black in colour with a reddish hue and a thin to negligent dark tanned head that dissipated quickly while leaving some spotty lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, nutty, chocolate, coffee, licorice, with hints of dark fruit and char.
Taste: Light roast, chocolate milk, licorice and touches of dark fruit.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Not as roasty and body was lighter than I’d prefer, maybe too “chocolate milk” like.

Dark brown, near black, body with a thin beige cap. Roast, chocolate, earth, pepper, grass, pine resin. Complex and delicious. Dark chocolates and pine. Hoppy finish. Distinctly European style imperial stout. Wonderful.

This the Norwegian version of the Mexican M.O.L.E. Barrel Aged made in collaboration with the breweries Central and La Chingoneria (this one just with Central collaboration).
Deepest black color with a thick caramel head with great retention.
Great aroma with orgasmic notes of cocoa, some chili, creamy chocolate, roasted malts and some citrusy.
Magnificent flavor with notes of coffee, cocoa, citrus, lots of licorice, caramels, lactic acid, charred wood, grapefruit, spices and charcoal. Quite dry aftertaste with a nice rounded bitterness.
Perfect body with perfect carbonation. I cannot believe it that it is 9% abv.
Superb brew, hard to make it much better. Elegant aroma with a complex, bold and embracing flavor. I would like to see it more intense on the Mexican Mole flavors with a bit more of chili addition.

Opaque coal with a film of sepia that speckles. 3.75
Ash, fig, and Bakers chocolate on the nose - nothing I’d call mole. 3.75
Big chocolate up front, some char, black grape, a tingle in the middle, licorice, and mild woody hops. 4
Port barrel end and mild heat linger.
Thick, chewy, round. 4.25
Pours like motor oil and lots of chocolate, so a good RIS. But I’m not getting much spice (though the chili does hit - gently - at both the start and finish) and the 63 IBUs don’t really show up either. So not very on concept and not an especially bold example of the style, but nice all around. 4.25
