Copenhagen 4/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. The characteristic Ø white on Blue with snow flakes. Pure Disney’s Frozen.
Pours cloudy golden yellow with white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is sweet. Characteristic lemonade-like with sweet peach, orange and unripe gooseberries. A touch of anise. Quite acidic and tart.
Strong carbonation and watery texture.
Flavor is well balanced with medium sweetness followed by medium sourness.
Does not give me any Christmas feeling but nice enough wheat beer even though a bit thin.

Jan. 2017: 500 ml bottle, batch #1713, from Coop Xtra, Sauda. ABV is 4.5%, IBU 20. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate to low white head. Aroma of coriander and various Christmas spices, including anise or liquorice. Also some citrussy / wheaty notes. Citrussy / wheaty flavour, said spices are there, but in moderate amounts. A nice and unusual Christmas brew, suitable to accompany the season’s fish dishes.
