Aug. 2016: On tap at Cardinal Pub Bar, Stavanger. Opaque pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Strong and pleasant aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, pine needles and spruce tips. Medium dry and very refreshing hoppy flavour, citrus fruit dominates, also notes of pine needles and spruce tips, spicy hints. Good bitterness in the finish.

Joining the ultra-hazy, ultra-fruity, slightly tart IPA arena that makes America's New England IPA so popular, that trends now infiltrates Europe's Nogne-O brewery and rolls out with a truly transformative beer- Anamorphic.

The turbid IPA layers into the glass with a golden peach appearance, a dainty creamy froth and with fuzzy, milky margins. Piquantly tart aromas of citrus, melon and tropical all seem rind-like while a bright and fragrant perfume begins to seduce the senses. Malty and biscuity to taste, a creamy sweet flavor complements the fruit flavors well as hints of fructose and honey resonate to the early palate.

As the flavors unfold, the middle palate is awash with pink grapefruit, tangerine and lemon. A quick followup of papaya, mango, passionfruit, apricot and nectarine suggests an exotic and juicy character. Finishing herbal, softly of pine and again redolent with a medley of fruit rinds, the flavors seamlessly transform along the palate and ultimately trend pleasantly bitter.

Medium-bodied and trending dryish, the beer's haze preludes a persistent creamy-sweet finish that aligns on the tastebuds like fruit sherbet albeit a bitter one. Botanicals save the finish from the tooth-aching fruity sweetness as the ale trends long with a tangy juniper, winey and hemp-like twang.
