Nov. 2017: 500 ml bottle, batch #1825, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%, 40 IBU. Black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, chocolate, dark rum and ginger. Smooth flavour, with the same elements as in the aroma, also some bittering hops and a hint of lime. Well balanced. Good beer.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a nice large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with black chocolate notes with some ginger notes clearly noticeable. Taste is a mix of roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes some light spicy ginger notes with subtle residual brown sugar notes. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with no real apparent alcohol notes. Well brewed porter with the right amount of ginger.
