On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Aroma of malts, oak, white wine, bourbon, vanilla and molasses. Rich mouthfeel and flavour. The vinous flavour has the same elements as the aroma, also notes of dark dried fruits and chocolate.

The brother-quad of Flotsam from Nøgne's Barrel aged-series takes a different approach, in terms of vinous notes. They are also rich herein, but this time from whitewine barrels. Almost equally good, although I must admit that I personally prefer the redwine barrels.
