Insanely good quad! This one surprised amongst this year‘s Christmas beers, In a positive way. Deep dark fruity notes with Great associations to Xmas times. Fullbodied.

L- Dark ruby/black. Pours with very minor haze and a 2mm deep tan cap of foam (at 10% it hasn't a hope of sustaining much more than that).
S- Deep puddingy scents, reminds me of Brit Xmas pudding. Smells barrell aged too, perhaps port or similar vs hard liquor?
T- Ohhhhh.... big, deep, really BIG flavour, a full-on heavy ABV-brush across my palate (makes me involuntarily shudder!). A sense of deep brown sugar (molasses richness I wish my palate was more accute as there is deffo 'stuff' going on here. Liquor barrels? And did I notice a fleeting cherry note? ... I won't cheat and read the lable... yet.
F- It never ceases to amaze me the complete step-change in Feel on moving from say 7% to a 10%er such as this. This is a beast, albeit a well trained one.
O- Made for slow-sippin' at Jul and the festive time of year. Impactful but not particularly refined; ie specific aspects of it's flavour aren't simple to ID and note here. Interesting to try but a little unrefined and blunt, ie lacks intrigue and mystery.
500ml bottle. BB: 03/04/2025. Ingredients include muscovado sugar.
