330 ml bottle #1642 out of 6000, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, at a steep price. ABV is 15%, IBU 80. Slowly gushing bottle. Pitch black colour, no head. Boozy aroma of molasses, fusel alcohols, roast malts and cocoa / chocolate. Very moderate carbonation the mouth, but the mouthfeel is otherwise very rich and warming. The flavour is also very rich, with a substantial sweetness and loads of cocoa, also distinct notes of oak, whiskey and vanilla, and dark malts. The sweetness is to some degree balanced by decent hops throughout. A pity about the gushing bottle and subsequent lack of carbonation. If you don't find the price too prohibitive, I'd recommend cellaring this beer for 2-5 years.
