Great Shakes is a full-bodied Belgian quadrupel which has matured for two years in American hot sauce casks (in which bourbon has previously been aged), and Scottish Highland whisky casks.

330 ml bottle, as Nøgne Ø Great Shakes Hot Sauce Quadrupel, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 14%, IBU 30. Dark brown to black colour, small beige head. Aroma of fusel, molasses, hints of hot sauce, oak and whisky. Warming mouthfeel. Sweet flavour of malts, caramel, hot sauce with a nice chili burn, moderate notes of oak, bourbon and Scotch whisky.
