L: dark copper, with big off white foamy head
S: yeast, sweetness, dark fruit
T: a sweeter ale. I taste the basic ingredients: barley, yeast, malt.
F: thin and easy drinking.
O: not my style, but decent.

Just getting into Italian brews. This is a smooth sweet malty dark ale that I really enjoy.

750 mL bottle pours a hazed copper color with a large cap of creamy beige head. Very nice retention and awesome sheets of lace.
Nose is fruity and yeasty to go along with toffee malt. Not overly appealing.
Taste shows a more nutty side and goes from hazelnuts to pecans. Fruitiness takes on more of a caramel apple aspect as opposed to a darker berry flavor I thought I would get after the nose. Not much in the way of hops at all and gives it a sweeter finish than I would like to see. This beer is just not very good. The Italian golden ale was much better, though neither one belongs in a 750 mL.
