For the first time ever we've brewed and bottled a full batch of our old friend Jed's out-of-this-world IPA recipe, the JED IPA!!! This forceful 6.6% alc./vol. IPA, brewed with Millenium, Falconer's Flight, and Galaxy hops, is pleasantly citrusy and resiny, is sharp and crisp, and is here just in time for the May the 4th weekend!

L- Pours a deep amber topped by a 1/2 finger white head. Good retention and light lacing.
S- Distinct aroma of mango and grapefruit. Not getting much in the way of malt on the nose. Incredibly fragrant and mouthwatering!
T- The taste is decidedly different than the aroma: caramel malt with a healthy dose of ringwood yeast flavour (a signature of picaroons). Mellow citrus rind bitterness on the finish.
F- Medium Body and low carbonation.
O- A pretty good beer BUT the aroma is so damn delicious that anything other than a duplication in the flavour is going to be a severe letdown. I look forward to Picaroons trying this one again (hopefully) next year, maybe they can nail the taste on the next go.
