L- Bright mid amber, clear, pours with 3mm white head.
S- Mild hops and malts.
T- Light flavour, into a mildly hoppy finish. The carbonation in the mouth is good, but with the flavour being light it seems the CO2 flavour (akin to that of soda water) also comes through.
F- Light and dry, it might make a refreshing beer for those staying in the lower ABV% zone. Carbonation as^=good.
O- The lable reads 'Traditional session bitter. Light fruity and refreshing'. I'd agree it's of a trad-style, not a trace of beardo facets here, also that it's sessionable and light/refreshing. I don't register a fruity aspect but that might just be my palate today. Then I read the back lable: '...English Challenger hops and Slovenian grown Styrian Goldings to give a light fruity nose with a hint of grapefruit on the aftertaste'. I'll sign off pondering since when 'traditional bitter' has included 'a hint of grapefruit'... hmm.
500ml bottle, bought as part of a 3-pint/3-styles gift-pack from the Railway Museum in York. BBE: Jan-21
