Decent beer, but way heavy on the barrel flavor. Looks and feels like motor oil.
I liked the base beer, but wont be getting it again. Sorry about that.

Bottle @ Brouwerij de Molen (volunteers gathering), thanks for sharing John & Petra! Pours a black colour with a beige head. Aroma's of sweetness, honey, (ground) coffee, roasted malts. Flavour is moderate sweet, roasted, sweet coffee. Medium bodied. Long finish with lasting coffee flavours. Delicious.

Solid and viscous jet black pour with a dark brown ring. Smell is bourbon and coffee forward, with supporting honey, cream, and old fashioned bitters. Bitter coffee leads, with a dark chocolate bridge, and a finish with sugar, vanilla, and honey. Creamy, highly textured, and boozy.

Came in a goblet jet black with a thinner but well retained deep beige head atop.Vanilla infused bourbon, dark fruits, and coffee roast in the nose,a nice complex aromas.Vanilla and more vanilla on the palate over top chocolate and coffee roast, the bourbon does get quite big as another has noted but it never gets 'hot'.Thick and complex it was a joy to drink yesterday at the BK in K-ville

Appearance: Arrives black as night with a one inch head; good retention and shards of lacing linger
Smell: Milk chocolate, coffee, Bourbon, oak and vanilla
Taste: Milk chocolate forward with coffee and Bourbon flavors building, through the middle; hints of oak and vanilla emerge, after the swallow; the finish has a strong, roasted coffee character
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation; some warmth
Overall: A nice variant, with some harshness in the finish that is likely to settle down as the beer ages a bit
