Picked purely because it was "aged in tequila barrels"!! Delicious!!! Creamy-chocolate-esqe mouthfeel, boozy tequila at the end. Grand slam Olde Hickory!

Pours a murky reddish dark brown, minimal head that fades quickly. Aroma is mainly sweet brown sugar. This is where it goes south. Flavor is tart cherry. This beer must be infected. Nothing about this tastes like a brown ale aged in tequila barrels. And judging by other reviews, I must have a bad bottle.

Look: It pours brown with a tan head. Head retention is low.
Smell: There are strong nut flavors with background notes of tequila. It also has a molasses like quality to it.
Taste: There is a lime and tequila flavor mixed with the nuts. There is a bit of salt in the background with a very low touch of molasses.
Feel: It has a full body that is slightly chewy.
Overall, this is a sipping beer with unique flavors. If you don't like tequila, this beer won't be for you. I, however, love tequila.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours brown in color with a thin foamy off-white head that disappears almost immediately
S- aroma opens with some nutty brown malts, as well as caramel and brown sugar. Tequila pops through, adding an element of lime as well
T- brown breads, caramel, toffee, raisins and figs up front. Mid-palate brings out some tequila notes, as well as some agave sweetness. The finish continues with the tequila and lingers of brown breads and caramel
M- medium-light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish
O- an interesting combo that actually worked pretty well
