Appearance: Pours the color of dirty motor oil with a thin beige cap that fades to a ringlet; strands a dots of lace
Smell: Roast and Rye Whiskey with undertones of Baker's chocolate, hazelnut and cinnamon
Taste: The Rye makes a forceful entry with considerable roasted dark malts underpinning; Baker's chocolate, hazelnut and cinnamon emerge with just a hint of vanilla; the finish has some fusel alcohol with a significant Rye presence
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: Olde Hickory has always done a great job brewing BA stouts with honey all the way back to the early days when Event Horizon was all the rage; this one adds a few new adjuncts as well as the use of a Rye barrel
