Picked up a 12 oz bottle from the Appalachian Vintner in Asheville 10-28-22 for $7.99. Bottled 10-21-21; consumed 3-31-23. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured black with a pretty good tan head.

Nose is very nice with the modestly roasted malt base notes, a touch of whiskey and vanilla, and a touch of maple sweetness.

Taste follows the nose with the large malt base that assimilates the maple and whiskey barrels very well. Finishes with a light touch of maple and vanilla sweetness but the barrel balances things out very well.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.

Overall a nicely blended beer that is not overly nuanced, just damn tasty! Glad i could try this one!

L - Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a slight tan head that dissipates quickly.
S - Smells of Bourbon & maple syrup.
T - Tastes of bourbon, honey & syrup.
F - Medium to full bodied with minimal carbonation.
O - Really nice imperial stout.

Appearance: Pours onyx colored with a two finger tan head; decent retention and squiggles of lacing

Smell: Strong char with molasses, maple, chocolate and Whiskey tones

Taste: A hint of chocolate at the forefront with a sharp Whiskey tone emerging; underneath there are sweeter hints of molasses and maple; the finish is somewhat dry and boozy

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: Not sure exactly what is distinctive about Colorado Whiskey but it tastes more like Canadian Whiskey than Bourbon; a bit rough around the edges with the maple somewhat overwhelmed
