Peabody's I love you, and Olde Hickory you did good work, but this beer was not good. Lots of metal and burnt toast in the taste, to go with sweet fruity cereal. Slightly acidic afterfeel, though crisp. Smells like yeasty cereal with smoky fruit and macro beer adjuncts.

A: Pours a clear medium yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and a faint amount of lemon yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy white head that reduces to a medium thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted grainy malts with a touch of caramel sweetness and minimal amounts of citrus/lemon + herbal hops.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of toasted grainy malts, kind of cracker-like with some light hints of caramel sweetness. There is a light flavor of herbal and citrus/lemon zest hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades quickly.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly creamy.

O: Definitely a sessionable beer but not a very interesting one, not sure that I would want to have more than one of these in a session. Easy to drink and inoffensive.

22oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Bought at Peabodys in Boone price $4 best before 10/13

A: poured a nice golden orange with an off white head that left minimal lacing.

S: Lots of yeast and bread flavors.

T: Kinda fruity, more bread and light malt flavors. A bit of hop bitterness as this warmed up. Very yeasty.

M: Nice mouth feel very creamy with a little bit of carb bite and a full body. Honestly one of the least watery APAs Ive had. Very easy to drink.

O: Its pretty good for a session beer. I would by it again if it was fresher and I had a larger beer budget. Personally I tend to like beers with a Higher ABV and more complexity. I thought this had great flavor and mouth feel for the style however. For me its an added bonus that its brewed in collaboration by a local NC brewery and Peabodys Beer and WIne.
