A : Poured a deep black in color , sordove thin, overcarbonated with a gushing dirty white cap. To much head and head retention is crazy. SOmething is wrong here
S: Roasted grains, some faint vanilla and coffee.
T: Initial taste is some muted vanilla like extract buried under some coffee and chocolate. The taste is really weak. There is an offputting lingering bittering on the end
M: Whie it is medium-full bodied it sure felt thin. Overcarbonated, bubbly, off. The flavors are just muddled and astringent.
O: I was happy to try it but probably won't try it again or seek it out.

Pour is dark mahogany, a bit light for the style. This lightness carries over to the mouthfeel (too thin), flavor (a bit light, especially in terms of dark malt), and aroma.(again, a bit light in terms of dark malt). Also rather sweet, falling near a sweet stout on this count, On the positive side, the coffee component is more like fresh beans than old grounds, and is in balance with the other flavors and aromas.
