Had this at the Olde Hickory Dinner in Charlotte

It was served with some roasted apple sorbet

Look: Kind of light Amber/Copper.

Head: A little less head than DuPont or alike. Don't remember much else about it.

Aroma: What you would imagine. Apple Brandy, slight fruit from the cherries, and classic saison scent. You could smell it from across the room.

Taste: This is one of the best beers I've ever tried. I would serve it for desert with a hot date, and the deal would be sealed. The apple brandy gives a hint of tart characteristic, balanced by the mild sweetness of the cherries. Its not the heaviest saison I've ever had, but certainly the most flavorful.

Mouthfeel: Somewhat light even for a saison, but I feel like the flavors and mouthfeel were balanced perfectly. I'm so lucky to have one of these in my collection right now. If you ever get a chance to taste this beer, do it at any cost.

Thanks to jtd1969 for sharing this bottle he bought at Busy Bee

A - orange with a thin white head that has good retention

S - brandy, booze, sugar, viscous

T - brandy, sugar, apples, cherries, some straw, creamy

M - well carbonated, medium bodied, some warming alcohol

This was a really nice beer. The saison itself was rather simple. The cherries add some complexity and are very well balanced. They aren't over the top or too tart. They also add a creaminess that compares to cherry ice cream. The best part of this one though is how the barrels are able to impart their characteristics to the beer. The apple brandy definitely comes through in a big way, and the barrels round the flavors adding balance. This was a great share!!

This was a bomber poured into a snifter.

It pours a feint brown with moderate clarity. It has good carbonation. The smell is like a cordial cherry and a dash of booze. The taste is a blast of tart initially and the. It drops off into the cherries and then the saison yeast character. This is an interesting beer.
