This place is a weird sunset haunt that is a mexican restaurant/brewpub combo. The atmosphere is kinda nouveau yuppy chic with a lot of glass and steel and wood. The quality of the food is slightly above average, and I love the empanadas here but the prices are high and the portions are small...the beers are decent with the recent Belgian seasonal being a pretty good brew. The clientele and the servers are nice and chit chatty and as such whenever I actually find myself out in the sunset I usually pay this place a visit...

I've been wanting to check this place out for about 6 months and finally had the opportunity last night. The big, barn-like north facing wall of the exterior has a very comical, but appealing, BREWERY sign that spans the length of the huge building. I went with my girlfriend and we were 2 of about 6 people in the entire restaurant. They had a chalk board advertising the daily selection, which included 8 house-brewed beers and a cider from Two Rivers. I picked the Golden Giant (see review) and she picked the Cherry Wheat. The server was quick to take our orders but it took 6-7 minutes to bring us two pints... we didn't even order food. He was an amicable guy, actually really conversational, but was slow with the service for such a slow evening. My beer was okay, my girlfriend, who shares my enthusiasm for good beers, couldn't even finish hers. I'd like to go back to try some others brews and maybe some food, but I'm not making it my high priority.

Kind of a winding bar area and long with a parallel dining area that has an above winding balcony. A couple of TV screens are located above the bar and viewable from the dining areas. Seemed to be a little stuffy.

Stainless steel tap nozzles all around. Wooden tables and chairs. Restroom was clean. Kitchen is not in the open.

Service was good and prompt.

Decent selection, I believe he said there was no handpump available today but I do not remember seeing a handpump device. Notable was their IPA and Double IPA, do not bother with the Nitro (?) Porter (maybe a bad batch or proximity in the keg).

The kitchen is not in the open so who knows what's going on there. I ordered a couple of tacos and needed the hot sauce.

Some bargain prices, read the whole menu including the beer page.

Located on 9th Avenue a couple of blocks from Golden Gate Park and easilly accessable by Muni bus or train.

A friendly brewpub, Eldo's was fairly quiet on our Sunday afternoon visit so we had a choice of Table or bar and chose to sit at the bar. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the barman quite happy to talk about the bar, the beers and San Francisco in general. the food looked good though we didn't eat on this visit. the barman offered us samples of the beers on offer and made us feel at home. I tried the Parnassus Pale Ale (4.7) a little bland but inoffensive!

Customers in the bar ranged from a couple of newspaper reading locals and people coming mainly for food. A pleasnt place to spend an hour or so!
