Its reddish copper body reveals deep amber and gold highlights beneath a creamy, light tan head. The retention is good and it leaves some thick, splotchy lace at the outset of the glass. A yeasty fruitiness similar to berries and a bit of earthy sulphur combine with sweet, caramelish malt in the nose. The body is medium/full with a very fine carbonation that massages the tongue with a gentle effervescence and welcomes you to have another taste. Rich, caramelish malt is enlivened by its juicy fruitiness, and balanced by its sulphur constituent, leafy hop flavor, and bold bitterness - although with so much rich malt present it appears little more than just balanced by its bitterness and it finishes semi-dry with some sticky malt throughout the mouth. An interesting and satisfying beer!
