Had this on tap at a tasting last night. pours a nice dark brown color, definatly on the dark side of alt beers, with just a small cap of head. not much aroma till it warmed a bit, then nice clean malts, slightly sweet smells, with an unusual roast to it that made it lean towards a swartzbier, but not over the top. Flavor was excellent, malty, slightly dry, nice toasty and mild nutty flavors. and then the roast, which was much more evident than in the aroma. could be mistaken for a mild swartzbier in a blind tasting, but it was a very delicious beer that called me back all throughout the evening. nice low alcohol allowed me to thoroughly enjoy this pint after pint.
