Appearance: Clear gold, frothy white head with good retention. Slow rising bubbles.

Aroma: bread & grainy

Taste: Bready, grainy malt flavor. A little spicy/herbal. Low bitterness

Mouth- feel: Medium bodied, medium length, clean dry finish.

Overall: Par for the course in terms of high quality German pilsner. A little lighter than some and more restrained in bitterness. Still a nice, easy drinking German pilsner beer. In fact, some make like it better than say Ayinger because it is not quite as bitter.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of very fine active carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and very faint golden yellow highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy bright white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light aromas of bready malts with even lighter aromas of grassy and floral hops.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of bready malts with a light amount of light fruit (apple) sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of grassy and floral hops which contribute a light amount of bitterness tot he finish which fades away rather slowly.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively clean.

O: Easy to drink and a decent representation of the style but just nothing special about it.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light amount of large bubbles rising to the surface. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down rather quickly, leaving only a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of bready malts are present in the nose; slight hints of floral and grassy hops are also noticeable.
T: The taste has flavors of bready and grainy malts along with some hints of floral hops and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer lacks and interesting smell and taste, but it is easy to drink and is a decent representation of the style. It would pair well with food.

500 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear pale straw color with a small white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin lace that lingers. Minimal lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation retaining the thin head. Aromas of apple, pear, honey, grape, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt/fruity ester notes with a fair amount of hop presence; and solid strength. Taste of pear, apple, cracker, grape, honey, bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, cracker, bread, honey, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice and pleasant balance of malt/fruity ester flavors with a fair amount of hops; with solid flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a solid Pilsener. Good balance of malt/hop/fruity ester flavors; and extremely smooth to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.

I was surprised to find a unpasturized German Pilsner at Beer World of Largo Fl. The nice light foamy head gives way to a lightly carbonated pilsner with a minimal amount of hops. the lite nature of this beer would make it a great refreshing warm weather beer.

I haven't seen this beer in the Midwest,

500ml bottle. "Un pasteurized". **5.1% alc**

It pours into my large pilsener glass a nice gold with a perfect white head. Nice carbonation bubbles.

Smell isn't outstanding but it is nice. Gets duller with each passing second. It is nicely herbal, plenty of noble hops.

The flavor is good. Low bitterness with some fruity hop flavors, nice bready malt character. A good proportional pilsener.

Definitely like the non-pasteurized part but as a pils it isn't super amazing.
