Rainbow Red Ale pours a cloudy copper with not much head to speak of. It has a nice bouquet of pineapple, citrus and bread. The flavor is much the same -- tropical fruit and slight maltiness. Not a bite to speak of... In fact, from tongue to tonsils, this is a smooth fruity beer with lingering malts and very little (if any) carbonation. A decent beer.

one and a half finger, creamy, off-white head. not quite perfectly clear, style perfect dark copper color. very strong floral aroma. strong aroma carries over a little un-pleasantly to a floral taste. Yeah, i don't much like eating flowers either. what smells pretty doesn't necessarily taste good. the strong bittering does some of the job of balancing out the flowery smell and taste. the malt is a minor player in this beer. this isn't a bad beer and someone that is keen on strongly floral drinks could love it. not to my personal liking. the bitter finish and after-taste is the saving grace of this fellow.

Pours a cloudy amber with a small light brown head that doesn't leave much lacing in the glass. Mild nutty caramel aromas, toasted nut and fruity cherry flavors. Medium bodied with a somewhat rough mouthfeel, finishes on the sweet side, a fairly decent red ale.

Dull, blurred amber. No head. No lace. Just kind of there. Aroma is faint. Very faint. Not much except some stale caramel malts. The flavor follows suit with the nose and appearance. It sucks. I almost dumped this one. Just bad. Some astringent husky properties and dull caramel tones. A slight bitterness (and not the enjoyable type of bitterness). Mouthfeel was average at best. Maybe medium body. A little on the flat side. Very unenjoyable experience.

This is a very likeable li'l beer. Pleasant roast malt smell, pours a light tannish head over a firm brown body with suspended traces of grist. A fine crystal roast malt flavor, hint of caramel, well contrasted by an English hop bitterness. Hops are not quite peppery, more like a basil spiciness. Very agreeable, and I'm happy I opened this after the problematic Orange Moose.
