Brewed in conjunction with Dungarvan Brewing Co. from Waterford for Wetherspoons.
My pint was a fairly standard dark peat colour with offwhite head. The nose is indistinct, rather creamy and slightly metallic. The taste begins on the sweet side for a stout before a pleasant somewhat wood smoked malt flavour. These flavours aren't bold, but equally the beer isn't watery. The requisite slight bitterness in the aftertaste also puts in an appearance. This is not special, but it is quite well done.
