(Cask conditioned). Guest ale in the-first-pub-you-get-to-after-crossing-Tower-Bridge-(left-side)-South-bank- of-the-Thames (you guessed it, I forgot the pub's name). Copper coloured, malty & nutty. Very tasty.

This was brought back especially for the Wetherspoons Real Ale festival in autumn 2012 (apparently brewed for the first time since 2005). It is a very dark beer with ruby red hue and a decent head. The nose is slightly plummy but mostly suggestive of roasted malt. This is dominated by the roasted malts with hops only barely apparent in the aftertaste. However it is a pleasing roasted malt flavour. This seems a good fireside sipper.

Pale orange/golden color, slightly hazy. Foamy white head, fair retention. Fruity notes, citrusy. Pale, slightly bready, toasty malt with some citrusy and earthy hop flavors. Mild bitterness. Soft, creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation. Very good session beer here.

On-Cask at Dr. Duncans :-)
This was one of the hoppier Adnams offerings that I have sampled in my journeys. A dark golden/light orange/amber coloured brew with a nice white cap of foam for a cask ale, that does stick around for a little while. The aromas are fresh citrusy hops up front, and bready malts later on. The taste is similar to the aroma. Nice fresh hop flavor in the mouth right away, whcih leads into a maltier, biscuit like flavor in the middle. The finish is pretty dry, and begs you to take another sip of this nectar. Drinkability, of course, is awesome. These Adnams beers are quite something. Nothing that knocks your socks off, but absoluteley well balanced, and so very, very drinkable. Cheers to them!
