Bottle (2018), possibly conditioned. Copper amber with a wispy head.
Heady aroma of fruit and floral hops with some caramel malt and honey. Orange marmalade, sweet pea (or the labelled jasmine) and orchard. Bread dough present.
The taste was a mash up of the aroma with no distinguishing flavours. Boozy.
Syrupy texture. Rather flat.
I wish I hadn't waited to drink it. More Barleywine than Tripel.

L- Ultra dark old gold, aka deep amber. 5mm white head, holds well. (Later to lacing)
S- Deep toasty notes with hints of orange.
T- Wow, marmalade, deep and pungent. Clear alcohol tang. The lable highlights 'Pear drops' (the sweets), and I make that connection now.
F- Deeply enticing, zero out of place, down into deep flavours that evolve on the palate. They list 'Orange blossom' too, and I see it, just couple it with the ABV% and to me it comes over as deep/rich marmalade.
O- Wow, very different, deep orange notes are the prominent feature here. But there is a balance, and it's a very enticing brew. Next time I'll serve it cooler, it could handle it, it's a small but thick/heavy bottle so needs time to cool.
BB: ... I can't find it, not on glass/stopper nor lables. But it's a recent purchase from a big shop so am not concerened re: freshness with this hefty fresh-tasting offering. 330ml, flip-top bottle.

330ml swing-top bottle marked 2017, bought from one of Adnams own shops (quite expensive at £4.99/bottle). Highly carbonated - bottle popped distinctively when opening, and produced a large head despite pouring gently. Mid to pale amber and absolutely clear. Sweet aroma of floral honey and yeast. Taste is rich, sweet and moorish, with a hint of dessert wine and marmalade initially; transitioning quickly to a slightly hoppy, bitter finish. Alcohol flavours are present, but less than expected for the 10% ABV. Pleasant, smooth, slightly crisp mouth feel, not overly carbonated. I enjoyed this a lot - something out of the ordinary - and I'd happily drink it again.
