L- Mid gold, clear, pours with 3mm white head.
S- Quite a bright smell with a subtle citrus note to it.
T- No kidding about being a 'Tripel hop'. Though the initial hoppy-dry hit on this 1st beer of the evening ebbs back after the first couple of sips. The citrus note here seems subtle to me, ie I dislike 'Hipster hop-bombs' that resemble mixed fruit drinks vs beer, and this is nothing like that.
F- But it's thin though, ie. low ABV% abd that combined with it's Tripel hop/pale ale style inevitably results in a light/dry beer. There's not enough richness or ABV% upon which to develop much character of interest, well for my tastes at least.
O- This would suit someone who likes contemporary Pale Ale beers, wants low ABV% (lunchtime/driving?), and doesn't want a teeny/hipster all out lychee doused hop assault.
Bought from M&S, London W8, 500ml bottle, BB: 07/2020 £2.50, but it was mis-priced and scanned at £1. Neck lable states the beer was brewed 'with surplus M&S bread'.
