Lovely packaged 0.75 Litre bottle; poured into four tumblers just before a wedding in Sep 2012.
Amber/orange body; with an off-white head on each glass.
Malty molasses in the nose, with yeast and summer fruit esters in the mix.
The taste was also leaning towards maltiness with a yeast and fruity feel. You’d never guess it was from Adnam’s because of the ‘Belgian’ feel it has and of course the alcohol level.
Really liked it, pity it was shared with my Dad and two brothers!

Bottle, served into a plastic cup, Brewery Industry International Awards, Burton-upon-Trent, 2011.
Smells of spun sugar. Tastes of brown sugar, fresh yeast and an old herbal cough sweet that's been in your pocket since last Christmas. Made an excellent accompaniment to the cheeseburgers that my old mucker Stoph McBride and I were feasting on.
Some would say it was ill-advised, nay, dis-respectful to drink such a beer out a plastic cup alongside a burger lunch. I would say hahaha, it only cost us a fiver and we've got several more bottles to try out the whole snifter-snifter-pinkie-in-the-air tasting at some stage in the future.
It's certainly sweet - there's plenty of sugar in there, for sure - and the hops don't do a great deal in the way of redemption. But it's a bold attempt and I do sincerely look forward to re-rating it in a few months time. Probably alongside a big fat greasy tray of chicken wings.

Only comes in 750 ml bottles and ABV is 10% so drinking this all by myself was a challenge.
The beer was BIG very BIG but little in the way of hops. There was mainly honey and caramel sweetness with some floral and spicey notes.
I didnt think that I could easily drink the whole thing but drinkability is rather high for such a strong sweet beer
