Good looker. Clouded bright orange and lemonade highlights, with a smooth foamed white head that takes its time to descend and leaves spotty lacing behind.
All the usually suspects of a proper Hefeweizen; bubblegum, banana, clove... A touch of orange peel and a slightly tart punch in the nose.
Banana bread with some orange bitters, a dash of clove and pepper, and the last couple of chews before the gum flavor is lost. The first sips seemed to be quite mild, but as it warmed so did the flavors.
Incredibly smooth! Soft and velvety feeling despite the slightest bit of tanginess. Appropriately sweet but not overdone. A very refreshing beer.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Hefeweizen, but if I have one I prefer it to be in the traditional German veins. This one hits all the right marks and is a refreshing change of pace. Might have to go out and grab some of the local offerings after trying this one.
Thanks a ton, Tim! Cheers!

Poured from fridge temp from a tall can. Pours opaque orange with a good amount of white head. Nose is wheat, pepper, bread, smoke, and bread. Taste is super smooth - wheat, pepper, bread, oranges, oak, stone, and grass. Really subtle - none of he flavors are overpowering. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit dry. This is a really impressive offering of the style. Will definitely buy again.
