Been awhile since I have had a Longwood beer and this is one of the better ones. I found it on tap at the Alibi room in Van.
Poured very dark brown with a nice dark tan head. The nose was redolent of roasted barley and nuts. I liked the fullness of the body and the pronounced maltyness in the finish. Very drinkable but complex enough to make you want to savour every sip. Points given for attempting a seldom seen style and getting right.
