"A Premium Wisconsin Light Beer"
Clear, plain yellow, no head at all, flat and dull.
Corny aroma, but most of all, bland and bare.
Moist, then gone...nothing to speak of in terms of taste, thin as they come...
Easy to drink, but why bother. Soda pop has more of a kick.
Colored water, and practically nothing else. To call it a bore would be a compliment.
If this floats your boat, you're probably pining for the return of the "Lawrence Welk Show".

As givemebackmyson suggested, this is another beer similar to many of the other City Brewery beers, however, it seems a little less on the Kreusened side, than LaCrosse Lager (which by the way is one of my favorite average beers vs. the Miller and Bud family). The flavor is smooth and easy to drink. Not too much smell, outside of the typical corn and adjucts. Same for appearance and mouthfell, average at best. But all in all not a bad brew. It is also nice to see that they are trying to bring life back to another Wisconsin brewery, which still leads the U.S. in the brewing tradition.

This beer is being brewed temporarily by the City brewery in LaCrosse. It is a fundraising campaign of sorts, to raise money for the defunct Potosi Brewery in Potosi, WI. Apparently if this is popular enough, and raises enough money, they'll get this old brewery off the ground.
The beer pours a pale golden color with some white foamy head.
Slight metallic taste, and not a whole lot else. But there is the signature off flavor of this LaCrosse brew. To me, it tastes identical to City Lager, which in turn, tastes identical to Old Style from the days when Heilman was making it in LaCrosse, before the company sold. Fully Kreusened... or so they say.
So that's that. If you like those beers, Potosi Light is basically the same. And it helps get another Wisconsin brewery going, so it's got that going for it,which is nice, which is nice...
