Formerly called Faxe Premium Danish Lager

Faxe Premium is a classic international premium lager with a smooth, distinctive taste. The combination of the finest malt, hops and own water results in an all-malt premium beer, which is full-bodied, however at the same time pleasantly mild with a round taste and a smooth mouthfeel. A crisp and well-balanced lager beer.

Faxe "Premium" from Denmark, with a viking...they must make it. Or it gives you super human country invading powers.

Never had a Danish beer before. I assume it will be similar to German but who knows.

The words "Premium" and "Une biere lager de qualité" on the can are certainly not an encouraging sign.

Ok head, a bit bubbly though. Dies down very fast.

Aroma is mostly bubbles and rather heavy malt.

Simple sweet malt taste, and moderately interesting hops. Some honey also. A bit standard and boring really. Taste is kind of skunky and bitter without any hoppy fruity or flowery flavour.

I thought maybe it would have some kind of Danish uniqueness, but it doesn't.

Actually I just remembered Carlsberg is kind of Danish, so I have had one before ; ) One of the most famous yet worst beers I have ever had.

This one literally is on a similar level I think, just less famous. No wonder the vikings wanted to invade other countries so much.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 568mL in a pint glass. From my favourite but now closed The Beer Store on Goyeau St. in nearby downtown Windsor. Best before November 5/25. My second beer from the Fakse, Denmark brewery, and for 2025. With Gracie the cat...

Golden color with a medium-sized, white head.Average lager, with malty aroma and taste, moderate bitterness, and notes of metal. Drinkable, but nothing interesting.

I purchased this at a random petrol station in Bayreuth, Bavaria, in September 2023. Buying beer at a petrol station is utterly foreign to an Australian, where beer can only be purchased at licensed liquor stores. Needless to say, this was an offering I took up many times while in Germany! The beer in focus was drunk a few weeks later at Schechen in Bavaria, where we'd camped for the last few nights of our four-week stay in Germany.

L: Crystal clear, honey-gold. Fluffy, bright-white head. Some carbonation in the glass. It looks like beer.

S: Bready malt. Very mild floral hops.

T: Sweet, bready malt. Long, sweet finish. Almost no bitterness.

M: Relatively smooth. Very mildly carbonated.

O: This is a classic European lager, stripped bare of any bitterness and personality. That said, it could be drunk quickly and in bulk, and perhaps that's the point.

Cheers!

Well; sold in 1 Liter cans. Has an odd smell and the taste is flat, very poor carbonation. Foam head disappears instantly. One Liter in one session is too much of that crap.
