A 330ml bottle with a BB of Feb 2018. Acquired a little while back from Home Bargains. The label describes it as a pilsner brewed with added honey, pumpkin and apple. Hopped with Czech Saaz and Kazbek. No idea why the name references Vienna, unless there's something about the Tivoli gardens that I don't know.
A: Poured into a tulip. A rich amber hue with faint floating sediment and low carbonation. Forms a decent head of frothy white foam that settles rapidly and disappears. Not off to a good start....
S: Aroma of subtle caramel malt with hints of grain, barley sugar, ale yeast, a vague fruitiness and faint leafiness. Not too clean for a pils; indistinct and quite dull.
T: Tastes of mild grainy malt with notes of subtle caramel, barley sugar, sweet fruitiness, yeast esters, vague leafiness and a faint acidic twang in the background. Slightly sweet, followed by a subdued finish with low bitterness.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and lightly tingly, with soft carbonation and decent body. A tad flat and lacking in texture. Aftertaste of grainy malt, yeast esters, mild fruitiness and faint stewed leaves.
O: Meh - no great shakes. Distinctly lacklustre looks, while the aroma and flavour are a bland mix of grainy malt, fruitiness, yeast esters and faint stewed leaves. So-so body. This just falls short of what a good pils should be; instead of dry, crisp and bitter this is mildly sweet and flabby. The hops don't come through well and the unusual additions are also quite random. It's as if someone decided to throw weird ingredients into a beer and call it craft. Anyway; not a brilliant effort and not recommended for human consumption.

Bottled and picked up for 69p from budget outlet home bargains
pours a clear amber body with quite a thick white
aroma is like a sweetened apple juice
flavour is what I imagine a pears soap would taste like
